Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is.
If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

Remember that one stupid girl in a horror movie who goes to a place and does things which she was warned about. And all the while you will be sitting there either being scared out of your mind or feel the need to slap that bitch for being a reckless moron? Well, I felt the latter with our heroine Alexandria ‘Everyone calls me Alex’.
The concept as such was good, the flow of the story was smooth. However, the second half was just boooring! A nagging heroine is a major turn off for me and Alex was this annoying person who thinks later and acts first. There's always someone to rescue her or clean up her mess, her actions were that idiotic. She did piss me off constantly, she used up my tolerance quota for the day.
In my defense, I still managed to finish it even when I came close to quitting it many times. I like the author's other books and she has a knack to write a great complex story but this one didn’t work for me.
Going with 3 stars for the concept and writing!
